I had an inclination to write a song with a Rootsy, American, Folk Rock vibe. Typically I stay away from the core Folk type sounds. I feel this has a bit of that old school folk rock spirit while still remaining true to my sound and persona. Being from Minneapolis there was a lot of rebellion surfacing over the killing of George Floyd and I thought it would be cool to channel some of this spirit into something more personal and akin to my own struggle and liberation. The heart is true, that's the Arrow!
